Why Teens Come to Therapy.
What to Expect in Sessions
We meet teens where they are—through open, relatable conversations and developmentally appropriate strategies. The first few sessions focus on building trust and understanding what’s going on beneath the surface. We also help families set goals and determine the best path forward.
Sessions are available in person at our Bridgeport office (1200 W 35th Street) and through secure virtual telehealth for teens anywhere in Illinois.
A Compassionate and Flexible Approach
Teen therapy at Room2Talk is collaborative and flexible. We tailor our approach to each young person’s personality, needs, and communication style. Modalities may include CBT, DBT skills, expressive therapies, or mindfulness-based techniques—always grounded in respect and authenticity.
Support for Caregivers, too
We know therapy works best when teens feel supported at home. Our therapists will guide you on how to talk to your teen about therapy, how to support their mental health, and how to be a part of their healing without overstepping boundaries. Every family is different—we adapt to your needs.
